The following is my processing and recording some of what I learned during my Christmas travels.
Some of the traditions I encountered whilst in Japan for New Year’s (shogatsu).
Some photos of what I ate during my adventures. By no means exhaustive because I ate way too many things for that. Featuring crab brains, pig’s feet and octopus crackers. Enjoy!
10 wonderful days of adventure, friends, a chopsticks crash-course, and welcoming 2017 in with style. Mt. Fuji, unexpected singing solos, paddling in the Pacific Ocean and so much more that cannot even be put into words.
A few things that struck me as funny/strange/interesting during my time in Seoul!
A happy tale about a few days spent with my friend Corliss who is currently in the middle of her year abroad in South Korea.
Where the loss of the people of Korea became real.
The very beginning of my travelling fun this Christmas.
A glance back at the last 365 days in the life of Rachel.
Hebrews 3 + 8.
As long as it is called ‘Today’, may I live by faith.
I love the sense of expectation and hopefulness in this month – a sense of expectation with which days on the calendar are slowly crossed off and doors of advent calendars are opened.
What a gospel! And what a good end to the month of November and the season of autumn, here’s to advent!
